Create a thumbnail for a single category

Hello once again,

please, don't get angry if this question has already been asked. I tried to search the forum for an answer but couldn't find anything!!!

Is there a way to choose one of the photos from particular gallery and use it as a thumb for the whole category in the Category Layout - when creating a link to a gallery category?

Hi, there is no such option but you can e.g. copy the thumbnail and paste it into some article and create add copied url for the images, e.g.

Here you can set the first thumbnail as a standard thumbnail, which will be displayed when you select 'random image'.
