Hello,
I just installed Guestbook 1.3.1 beta and it is nice. But I can not use a smilie in the message. As soon you click send then Firefox gives the message:
Forbidden access
(
on a blank webpage ??
So I downgraded to version 1.3.0 but get the same error. So I installed 1.3.1 beta again and disabled javascript. Then it works fine but no editor...
Joomla 1.5.7
Anyone this problem? Kind regards, John

??? I have tested it on demo site and everything is working ... maybe your site creates a wrong link to the image (smiley) which should be displayed on the site, please let me know your site...

Hello Jan, thanx for your reply.
You can look at:
http://www.ceez.nl/index.php/component/ ... guestbook/
I turned on "Enable javascript editor" so you can see the error. Just type a text with a smiley in it and send.
(I have the same problem on another website)
Kind regards, John

Hi, your site check for dangerous tag:
Forbidden access - (<script> tag in POST)
and will stop the script... if it doesn't do it, then the tag will be cleaned with help of html purifier class...

Hello,
Thank you for your answer, but I don't understand.
What can be the solution? Do you know how I can solve it?
John

Hi, I don't know the solution, on your server there is some kind of protection against dangerous tags but I don't know such solution, I only know that something stops the php script ...

Hi all,
I see that it has been 2 months since the last post in this thread but maybe somebody may still be seeking an answer. I've just installed Phoca Guestbook and was having the same problems. I found out that the problem occurs when you have the Security Functions of sh404SEF activated which does not allow any links in any posts what-so-ever!
I will be trying to add the smiley links to the IP Whitelist of sh404SEF to see if this eliminates the problem and will report back.
Cheers
Dave

Hi Again,
O.K. The answer is quite simple. In sh404SEF in the configuration go to the Security Tab and in the "Check also forms data (POST)" select "NO" and the smilies will then work happy with sh404SEF! Hope this helps somebody!
Cheers
