Hi,
I recently installed phoca 2.0.0 using Joomla 1.5.7. I am struggling to upload pictures through the frontend.
When trying to upload, the screen refreshes, however the image is not uploaded.
Is there any configuration that I need to be aware of?
Mysite is: http://www.mightytracks.com
Please help.
Thanks
Rhyn

Re: Unable to upload pictures through frontend
hi, maybe there are no permission to write data on your server, check permissions on folders (images/phocagallery) or check the ftp layer settings...

Hi Jan,
I have checked the (images/phocagallery) directory permissions, they're set to 777. But still no joy.
I do not understand by what you mean "ftp layer" settings?

Hi Jan,
I have setup the ftp settings in the global configuration, but still no joy. Could I PM/email you my login details so that you can take a look at the problem?
Many thanks

Re: Unable to upload pictures through frontend
it seems like your template doesn't show system messages, first your template must display system messages to recognize the problem (please fix your template or change it to some standard) I have seen, some url path are wrong created, this can be problem too...

Re: Unable to upload pictures through frontend
Hi, you must set the user folder for an user, every user should have a folder on the server where the images will be saved... see documentation - https://www.phoca.cz/documentation/index ... -component - you can set in in Categories Detail:
Menu - Phoca Gallery - Categories - Add | Edit...

Hi Jan,
I changed the template, and I now see an error message "User folder was not defined".

Re: Unable to upload pictures through frontend
so you must define the user folder:
menu - phoca gallery - categories add | edit ... user folder (where the images of user will be saved on the server)
https://www.phoca.cz/documentation/index ... ser-rights
