Original image files and phoca gallery

Hi! I´m new here and I have a question.

Well, I upload some images by FTP, to certain folder. Then I go to the phoca admin. panel and I add images to a category, right. BUT I wanna that phoca create just small thumbnails, if I to click in thumbnail the original file appears. With default configuration and after I mod it, the script always create large thumbnails

Phoca Gallery creates three thumbnails types:

-small (used in categories view)
-medium (used in category view)
-large (used in detail view)

you can set the size of all thumbnails:

Yeah...but what I wish is just create small thumbnails, when I click on them the ori image appears. But I also saw that this thing can´t be implemented so, let the script increase hosting disk space

Maybe I don't understand it correctly. If you click on medium thumbnail in Phoca Gallery, then large thumbnail will be displayed... ???

I´m sorry the poor english, I will try to explain:

I upload photos to phocagallery folder or subfolder, right.
Then I go to the admin. panel and I add this photos to a category.
The gallery is generated but the script creates large thumbnails, also if I define the same dimensions of original photos that I uploaded.
So, I wanna that script create just small thumbs and when we clicked to them the popup opens and with original photos.

It may be possible with some hacks.. but I don't know which hacks

you can add a 'download' link to the medium thumbnails though... When people press that link, they can download the original image.

I was trying to find out the same think... I wanted That original files pop up as large Thumbn. so i changed parameters Large Image Width :0 and Large Image Height: 0 ...
So now i have Original and Thumn file...
Is there is Any ways that as soon as i upload or save the file the original will be delated automatically?

hi, no there isn't because original images are used the whole time in Phoca Gallery

- as download link
- by recreating images
- by rotating images
- by getting information from images, etc ...
