Need the whole guestbook to have a background

I am creating a Joomla site where my user wants a Guestbook. I've downloaded Phoca Guestbook, and installed it.
My problem is that the background to the site is a black and white graphic, and I use articles to cover it up, so that people can read things on the page.
As far as I can see, I see no way for Phoca Guestbook to either look like an article, or to have a matt background.
I can change the text colours, but at present it's looking unusable.
My requirement is to have the guestbook on a plain neutral background, so that the text can be read.

If this is ieasy, and obvious, then maybe I'm just a bit stupid.

OK. An update. I can hack the css and make the background to the form matt, by amending #phocaguestbook
Which is a start

But the text above is (interestingly) not in #phocaguestbook, so I can't give it a background.
I could give the whole section a matt background (.content in jt_inthraki), but I can't limit that to just when the guest book is being used.

So. Partial success, but still stumped.
