Categories over images

So I'd like to have this categories view of subcategories of one of my parent categories, no problem there. But how I could get the description to be shown in there? It appears when I make a menu item of all categories, but not when it's one category view menu item and it has the categories over images enabled. It just displays the name and number. I just can't figure out anything.
