front-end blank white after upgrade to 2.7.1

I upgraded phoca gallery 2.5.7 to 2.7.1 and clicked on authorize all. When I go to the front end everything is blank white. I get this error message form the error logs. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Hi,
did you upgrade all your pg extensions to the same version (eg component, plugin, module)?

I didn't install this originally so I think the only installed component is com_phocagallery v2.7.1.
Phoca gallery plugin is installed but it's not been enabled it seems and isn't needed?
What else do I need to install/update?

On the Phoca site, I see menu, image & tree modules
search, slideshow, button plugins and external extensions

I don't see these listed in my installation and it worked fine befoire the upgrade.

I'm not clear exactly what to install. Please advise -thanks

basically, you need the component only. everthing else is optional.

Thanks. I tried the suggestions in both links. The first one has to do with problems with 2.2 and I'm trying (unsuccessfully) to upgrade from 2.5.7 to 2.7.1.

I tried reinstalling the component and doing the upgrade option but that didn't change the result.

I did do the ftp install method uploading all files and then using com_phocagallery.ftp method but that still left me with the same result -no front end.

I'm not sure what else to try and would appreciate any suggestions. Fortunately I tried this update to 2.7.1 on my test site before trying it on the live site. Still I'd like to get this working so I can update my live site rather than staying with 2.5.7 forever or having to give up on phocagallery which I don't want to do as I like it and have close to 80 albums done.

ok. let's try this: since the last entry on your log apparently is from the module, disable (or uninstal) the mod_phocagallery_random_image and see what happens

Thank you so much! Ok, I disabled mod-phocagallery-random_image and that did the trick with the front end appearing, of course, without the random images showing.

I don't see the mod_phocagallery_random_image module in your list of downloads so I assume it's been renamed to mod_phocagallery_image_v2.7.1.zip. I'll download that and update the current random_image mod and try to re-enable it.

Will this upadate the current random_image mod and preserve their settings or will it install a new mod instead?
