Auto refresh the product's price by chosing an attribute

Is it possible to change the product's price (maybe via AJAX?) on the product detail page automatically, when the customer choses an attribute with extra costs?

Would be a great help for products with a lot of attributes. So that the customer alway has the final price in view.

Since it doesn't do it on my test-site... is it done via template in AJAX or is it a function inside the shop-code and i just have to activate a setting somewhere?
