Default status in Checkout not changing

When customer finishes checkout the default status is set to be Order Received in Options-Calculations, and email to confirm order received should be triggered to Customer and Others
System is setting status to Pending and no emails are sent. The Pending Status if Unpublished
This is a seasonal business and if memory serves me correctly, the automatic email was sent and status set to Order Received last season.
Has something changes since last year, in this feature?
Using the latest version of Phoca cart and Joomla

Hi, there were no changes. Sending of emails works the same way. If it is enabled in order status and order status is active, email will be sent.

What do you exactly mean with "The Pending Status if Unpublished"?

Email is not working as expected and I cannot find the solution.
The Pending Status is Unpublished in the status list.
The Order received Status is set as the default
The Send email is set to Yes.
In the Orders List we can change to Order Received Status manually using Edit Status and everything works as it should, just not working when order submitted.

Hi, try to enable logging in Phoca Cart options and try to make an order and see if there are some log items in logs.

But before doing this, try to check options of Payment method.

If "order received" status will be set in options:

But Payment method will include following option:

The the payment method sets the status and it is set still to pending. Changing to "order received" in payment method will change the status when ordering to "order received"

Thanks for the help, did not change anything
Turned on Error reporting, where are the error text file stored?
Did a reinstall of 3.5.6 and did not help.

Tried again and here are the results
Order Status Pending
Email sent NO
However in order status shows as Order Received

Hi, I don't mean error log, but logging in Phoca Cart (which stores different information) - it can be enabled in Phoca Cart options and can be displayed in Logging view in administration (see last icons on administration control page of Phoca Cart)

Is the payment method, where teh order status is set, the one select when ordering?

I am testing now and everything is OK there - when set in options, the one set in options is set, when using the payment method and set in payment method, the one in payment method set. Testing on different server, still no problem there :idea:

Do you use some cache feature on your site?

Only one payment method, pay when picked up.
Nothing online or gateways used for payment.
No cache other then Regular Labs Cache Cleaner.
We are using the Gantry 5 Rocket Theme Template, but was working last year with same template.

Logging for All is set to ON as of yesterday, yet there is no info the System log display.
Maybe something is not as it should be in permissions or rights?
