So my site is up and running and showing up good on google. The images that I put in articles, show up great on google images. However, none of the photos I have in my photo galleries do. The plug-in I am using is Ozio Gallery, which pulls from Google+ albums and shows them as a gallery. This makes it easy to update, but unfortunately only hotlinks them apparently and they don't show up on my site for SEO. So I'm getting rid of Ozio.
I am considering Phoca Gallery, but before installing it, I wanted to see how it fares on SEO. I know to get the most SEO I can out of images, I need to have them named properly, and Alt-tags and Geo tags done properly. Many gallery plugins take an image out of the folder and rename them and possibly lose this data.
How is it with Phoca Gallery? Does it retain the alt-tag, geo-tag, filename, or possibly all three?
Thanks so much, by the reviews Phoca has been getting, I'm really hoping that it will solve my photo gallery needs.

Re: SEO for Phoca Gallery?
Hi, not sure what you exactly mean, but the best output for SEO and Phoca Gallery is:
- using "No Popup" for detail window, so it has own page, so the image gets own link
- alt tags are used in Phoca Gallery and you can set in Options which values they get
- meta tags are used too and you can set them in edit of image
- if you need link images from Picasa (Google+), this is no problem for Phoca Gallery: https://www.phoca.cz/documents/2-phoca-g ... web-albums (of course it is not sure which way google+ will go, so we will see)
So in fact, you can test Phoca Gallery and see which html it outputs, so then you can get information about which tags, attributes, etc. are used.
For now I cannot say, if it will meet your needs regarding SEO and search indexing as mostly this is influenced by many different factors and the outputed code by extension.
So in fact this needs to be tested and of course as always if there is good and interesting content, this helps the indexing most.
