Two images next to each other in article - not working

I tried to insert into an article two images with the insert-image-button of phoca.

This is what I put in: {phocagallery view=category|categoryid=1|imageid=8}{phocagallery view=category|categoryid=1|imageid=17}

Both images are there - but not shown next to each other (in the same line) - the second is below the first, the third below of the second.

There is no /br or something like that in the code.

Only happens when inserting several single images with the button in articles. Display of categories is no problem, images are shown in the same line as long as there is enough space.

How can I prevent this "line break"? ?

hast Du es schon mal z.B.mit einer zwei oder dreispaltigen Tabelle versucht?

mit einer Tabelle geht´s natürlich, aber die responsive Anzeige leidet darunter. Möchte das vermeiden.

Habe es mit beez-Standard-Templates ausprobiert: gleiches Problem.
Bin etwas ratlos - wo soll ich suchen? Und nach was?

Sorry, da gehts mir wie Dir. Ich habe das Problem mit unterschiedlichen Templates nachgestellt und komme zum gleichen Ergebnis. (Einzelne Bilder werden linksbündig untereinander eingefügt) Mit Firebug konnte ich per CSS auch keine Veränderung dieses Verhaltens erreichen.
Außer dem Tabellen-Workaround fällt mir dazu leider nichts mehr ein...
