trying to reproduce a new Language Files

Post by darenGR »

Hi, I saw the various language zip files, and I try to make one set of files for Greek. I copied the german 2 ini files, translated them (right part of equation), and uploaded them to /administrator/components/com_phocaguestbook/language/el-GR folder on my server. I was expecting the system to identify that a user is using greek language, and therefore the guestbook form to display the translated word for title, submit, reset etc labels.
But I am still getting the english eauivalents. :x
Should I somewhere define that I now have this language for the guestbook?
many thanks for any help!

hi,

you need to upload them to:
  • administrator/language/el-GR
  • language/el-GR

Carolien,
:D many thanks, I put them to the correct paths, it is a beauty now, works fine, I will complete the translation and contribute these files to the developer to distribute if he wants.
best regards for now!

Hi,

I'm almost sure he wants them. You can email the files to info[at]phoca[dot]cz. or you can post them in the translations forum.
