Show avatar from subcategories that holds folders

I try to setup that subcategories should show avatar/images from the subcategories within. ie

Category (no images/only folders)
Subcategory 1 (no images/only folders)
Subcategory 2 (images)

The problem is that subcateory 1 don't show any avatars from subcategory 2 (most of them), only folder icon. The strange thing is, for 2 of the subcategories it's actually showing avatars but most don't.

If i follow this post i'm able to use unauthorized images to show avatars but is there a way to get avatars showing without these?

Hi, what you mean with avatars (avatars of users or images inside category displayed as folder icons)?

I mean images inside category - now it show's folder icon but want to fetch image from sub-category

Hi, if the images are internal (no picasa or facebook images) the image from the category will be displayed, if there is no in the category, some from the subcategory will be found - testing now and get no problem there

Thanks Jan, this is the strange issue, "if there is no in the category, some from the subcategory will be found" - this works for some but for some other only folder icon is shown.

Hi, tested now, the only one case for me is, when the category includes external images (picasa, facebook) - this is only one exception for this behaviour as such images cannot be searched on the server .... really no idea there
