How to deactivate 'Post message' while Guestbook alivev

One probably simple question (using Joomla 1.5 still). I have several Guestbooks, one per project on our school website.
I would like to keep the comments visible on line while desactivating the 'Post message' feature the old projects and of course keeping it alive for the new projects.
I have been looking for sth like "disable Post message for this Gestbook" but could not find it. I overcame it by modifying some code but this is cumbersome.
Note: This would have also have the great advantage to reduce spam.

Hi, yes, there is no such function, so this needs to be customized - add some if clause (to select between active and passive guestbooks and disable the form for passive guestbooks )

Hi.
You can hide post form in different GB via menulink (just use different values for "Display Form" setting).
