Couldn't create menu item

MooTools Upgrade disabled
PHP 5.2.6
Phoca Gallery 2.8.1

It is impossible to create menu item in Joomla 1.5. Go to Menu Item Manager, click New, select Phoca Gallery - Phoca Gallery Category Layout (or Phoca Gallery Category List Layout or Cooliris 3D Wall Layout), click next, fill the title and click Save (or Apply). You will be redirected to Menu manager, and no changes will be saved. All other components menu works well. The only Phoca Gallery Menu item type working is Phoca Gallery User Control Panel Layout.

Is this known issue? Is there any solution?

it was exactly the problem. After setting suhosin.post.max_vars to higher value, everything works fine.
