Geotagging - wrong format

Post by Reini »

My Sony camera saves the GEO-datas like N 46 25 36.19 E 13 34 1.47 Degrees, minutes, seconds. That could Phoca gallery not understand, the programm needs decimal degrees like 46.426719 13.567075 - thats the same coordinates.
Can i change the system in Phoca Gallery 2.8.0 for Joomla 1.5 ? Can someone give me a name from a tool to convert the Exifdatas (GPS datas) of the photos before upload?

Hi,

No, not with settings, perhaps this can be customized in the code. But I don`t know where and what...

This makes no sence, because as far as I know, Phoca Gallery for Joomla v1.5 is not able to import geodata from Exif. This is a feature for Phoca Gallery for joomla v1.6/1.7

Kind regards,

Re: Geotagging - wrong format WGS-84

I have installed Phoca Gallery 2.8.0 under Joomla! 1.5.22 Stable. If the exif file contains geodata, an icon appears in the picture to view the map. Now I know that the spatial information system that Sony uses WGS-84 is called. Phoca Gallery uses the decimal system (NMEA).
Knows someone a program to convert these Exife files before upload? You can do so in the Phoca Gallery?

Hi,
once again, Phoca Gallery for Joomla v1.5 is not able to import geodata from Exif. It dosn't matter which system. You need to edit longitude & latitude for each image or use joomla v1.6/1.7

Kind regards,
Benno
