Category List is empty

Hello, my Joomla is in version 1.5.20, Phoca Gallery in version 2.8.0. After I had added a several new categories, suddenly when I am going from the mainmenu to the Phoca Gallery menu point (is as Phoca Gallery Category List Layout) - I see empty
page. However the pictures are stored und thumbnailed, in parameters I do have the parameter, that categories should be shown. For exapmle plugin Phoca Slideshow still shows the pictures from the galleries.... ...strange. It has happened after a couple of galleries I have inserted...

Does anybody the same problem ? Thanks a lot for any solution


Edit: after research I have found out, that such behaviour is caused by max count of categories - when it is actually more than 12 categories - the page is empty - when ii is until 12 pcs - its is OK . Is there any parameter how to set it up?

Hi Honzo,

it is so - I have de-installed the phoca gallery and newelly reinstalled. Then I have added step by step - one new directory to one new category. It means - I do not have any subcategories - only "main" categories - as I can say it so. Until 12 categories - the menu point Phoca Gallery - Category List Layout shows the categories. After creation of next directory (13th in sequence) and corresponding category to this - when I click on the menu point "Photogallery" - the listed 12 categories are away - blank page.....when I delete the 13th category ......all 12 categories are back.

So I wanted to ask only whether the count of category is somehow limited?

Hi, no, Phoca Gallery does not limit the categories.

Blank page means, there is a php error.

Just enable php error reporting on your server to see the error:

Hi,

so I had to use the .htaccess file (PHP.INI is not accesibble or changeable by hosting) and into the file were filled the parameters php_flag display_errors on and php_value error_reporting 6143 and no error log is shown.

Did you check if it is running Ok (and it is not forbidden) try to make some php script with error and run it to be sure, the php errors are really displayed.

Yes, the listing of errors via .htaccess is OK. When I added an error into the php script it had shown an error on bla bla line...

...but when I publish more than 12 categories ....nothing is shown....only blank page

Hmmm, really no idea, check the html of the site, if this is empty too (sometimes the error is rendered in javascript code, which of course is not displayed on the site but in the html of the site)

Exactly, html code is empty.....

Hmmm, then I think, the script was ended by some php error maybe you can find it in errorLog if it is not displayed
