Several problems with Joomla! 1.6.3 Stable on a hosting!

Thanks for a great guest-book!

I have established it locally and tested for Joomla! 1.6.3 Stable also was very happy such convenient component. Any problems, except for blots known to you in translations with variables. It was not a problem for me.

But problems have begun at accommodation on a hosting!

At at accommodation of a post constantly there are not clear messages of a mistake:

" You are not authorized for this action. Wrong language. " (This sanction is established to send visitors without registration)
Or " *404 Guest book is not found "

At set RU symbols appear the first mistake.
At a set of message UK symbols the second.

By the local machine all works perfectly! It is strange, because all environment practically the same as on a hosting.

In what the reason is possible?

The component has very much liked and is cared it to apply on a site. Hope, for your help!

Hi, try to recheck the language settings on the server but I think I cannot give you any more advices as no experiences with such kind of problem.

Testing it now with german, czech and english and seems everything is OK ... so really don't know , maybe some SEF settings

I shall pass now all way of installation and localization once again and carefully!

Hello Jan,

During heroic efforts I managed to remove a problem and Guestbook 2.0.0 works under Joomla! 1.6.3 Stable on a hosting!

Probably the sequence of my actions will give you the information for the subsequent releases!

1. The first what has collided - could not establish Guestbook 2.0.0 repeatedly - constantly there was a mistake, that " it is impossible to establish the menu ".

As constantly there were senseless error messages I completely cleaned all dust accumulated in itself Joomla! 1.6.3

2. Only after that I could establish Guestbook 2.0.0 on a hosting.

404 mistake - " *404 Guest book is not found " began to appear constantly

At inclusion of a mode of debugging it was obviously visible that the mistake arises in modules Guestbook.

3. Has decided to take advantage of your recommendation and Began experiments with SEF Joomla! Only at inclusion of both SEF functions and .htaccess on a hosting on recommended I managed replacements to start Guestbook 2.0.0 in an operating conditions and without error messages.

However it is visible, that with SEF Joomla! Guestbook 2.0.0 works not absolutely correctly though it and is not fatal.

Once again thank for your work and an opportunity to use Guestbook 2.0.0 on a site.

I hope your following releases will be even more interesting and functional.

Hi,

1) the menu problems are related to Joomla! 1.6 - see forum.joomla.org
2) 404 - did you select the guestbook in menu link to guestbook
3) Phoca Guestbook is working normally with Joomla! SEF - see: https://www.phoca.cz/joomlademo/phoca-guestbook This is because Phoca Guestbook does not create links for itself, the links are created by Joomla!, by Joomla! SEF method JRoute,not by Phoca Guestbook - so try to recheck the SEF settings in your Joomla!
