Phoca download button help plz

PLEASE HELP. i have spent almost 2 full days trying to figure out how to add a download link to my article.
I have phoca button installed also. i read SEF. i turned it on and off. i beleive in PHOCAs work. i just cant figure out what i am doing wrong. please help

Is Phoca Download Plugin really enabled?
