I have noticed that Phoca gallery creates thumbnails of three sizes, respectively named with the letter l, m and s. The original size pictures, apparently, are not used because the slideshow uses the large thumbnails.
Since I wanted to save space, I therefore deleted the original pictures I had uploaded leaving the three sizes thumbnails, but the gallery shows blank squares and a blank slideshow. Why?
Do I really need to keep the original pictures when they are not used at all?

This is my gallery
http://www.licinio.altervista.org/index ... &Itemid=44
I don't know exactly where I set the detail view parameters, but I think that the original size image never appears in any of the views, because the largest one used is the large thumbnail.

Re: thumbnails
Hi,
With detail view Highslide JS (image only) and the option Highslide Full Image=Yes it`s possible to show the original images.
But you're lucky, because you use, as far as I can see, the Modal Popup Box for detail view.
So it should work.
I can not find this issue with your link.
Kind regards,
Benno
Unfortunately, this is a mistake, and that's why I asked you which detail view you use.but I think that the original size image never appears in any of the views, because the largest one used is the large thumbnail.

Which category exactly shows blank squares and a blank slideshow?Since I wanted to save space, I therefore deleted the original pictures I had uploaded leaving the three sizes thumbnails, but the gallery shows blank squares and a blank slideshow. Why?

I had hidden the category, because of the error it gave.
So if I choose a display option that does not show the original size pictures, can I delete them and make Phocagallery only use the large thumbnails?

Re: thumbnails
Hi,
I can´t find the thumbs of the missing pictures.
For example:
http://www.licinio.altervista.org/image ... amo024.jpg
http://www.licinio.altervista.org/image ... amo024.jpg
http://www.licinio.altervista.org/image ... amo024.jpg
is ok, but
http://www.licinio.altervista.org/image ... amo001.jpg
http://www.licinio.altervista.org/image ... amo001.jpg
is missing.
bergamo001.jpg is the 4th image in your category
So I fear you have deleted some of your thumbs too.
Kind regards,
Benno

Yes, you can use only the s,m,l,-thumbs, if you don`t use e.g. exif-informationsSo if I choose a display option that does not show the original size pictures, can I delete them and make Phocagallery only use the large thumbnails?
Kind regards,
Benno
