No email received when uploading files

I am having problems receiving emails when I upload a file, but I do receive emails when a file is downloaded.

I have followed the information/instructions in the following post

and also from the documentation:

The "Email Settings" parameters in the Menu - Parameters(Component) are set as follows:
Send email (download) = <my email address>
Send email (upload) = <my email address>

The "Email Settings" parameters in the Phocadownload Global configuration are set as follows:
Send email (download) = nobody
Send email (upload) = <my email address>

I can upload a file from the front end into the relevant category, and then browse to that category using the menu link to download the file I've just uploaded.
I then receive the email telling me that I've just downloaded a file, but get no notification that I've uploaded the same file

This is an excellent feature & going to be really useful when it's fully working.

Hmm, no idea what can be wrong there I am testing it and it work for me in both cases, try to set nobody in global configuration for upload, but really no idea if this can be the problem

Hi, as I wrote, really no idea what can be wrong there, I am testing it on my all possible test sites, I have checked the code and didn't find anything

I've just tried uploading from the front-end - creating a menu item for user upload & I receive the email notifying me that a file has been uploaded. Previously I was adding files from the back-end admin area.

Jan, can you please confirm that the email is only sent when uploading files from the front-end?

Hi, yes it is a frontend feature only.
