Can't see my downloaded files- have I set everything right?

Post by cocoagirl »

I have downloaded:
1) The Phoca Download Component
2) The Phoca Download Section Menu Module
3)The Phoca Documentation Navigation Plugin

In the Phoca Download Section module, I have set the position to "top"

In index.html, I have coded: <jdoc:include type="modules" name="top"/>

I have created categories, sections and uploaded files, files are published, everything is enabled.

Nothing is showing up in the module at all. Totally blank. What else do I need to enable or do to get the sections/categories/files to appear in the module?

Thanks

did you create a menu item to Phoca Download Component?
see: https://www.phoca.cz/documents/50-phoca/ ... -component
3)The Phoca Documentation Navigation Plugin
This Plugin needs Phoca Documentation Component to work...
Please post the URL

Benno,
Thanks for your reply, yes I created a menu link but had not set the link to point to the Phoca component. Thank you for pointing this out..as this wasn't clear to me in the forums.
It may be helpful if there was an article(on the Phoca Download page, https://www.phoca.cz/phocadownload -right before 'Demo') that stated specifically what needs to be done to enable this component to work correctly (newb friendly)... (Safe url hack, creating this menu and whatever else) as opposed to having to search through forums and what not to find the answer, esp since a lot of people will have these issues..I (am sure as others) don't mind searching for an answer but when you have to do this for every component that a developer puts out, and you have 10+ comps on your site, it can get cumbersome...just a suggestion;-)

Thanks!
