After upgrading Phocagallery to version 2.5.3, I discovered that there ar no thumbnails created in the proper maps.
Strange enough, the thumnbails are visible in the frontend, but when I take a look in the thumbnail directory, it's empty! How can these thumbs dissapear in the directory? I discovered it when I tried to make an Akeeba backup. I got an error message, saying that the thumbnails directories are empty.
This is the website: http://www.astridschute-natuurfotografi ... &Itemid=53 (the thumbnails shown here are not visible in the thumbnail directory)
Anyone?
best regards,
Judith

Re: After upgrade thumbnails problem.
Hi,
Your thumbs must be there because I can see them
The original picture: http://www.astridschute-natuurfotografi ... bien/4.jpg
and your large thumb: http://www.astridschute-natuurfotografi ... mb_l_4.jpg
So if you take a look with an ftp program to /images/phocagallery/Nederland_amfibien/thumbs you will find you thumbs.
Did you authorize categories and images in Phoca Backend?
Kind regards,
Benno
don`t worry!but when I take a look in the thumbnail directory, it's empty!

Re: After upgrade thumbnails problem.
Hi Benno,
Sorry for my late reply. Ik will update the Gallery right away to the latest version!
If I check the ftp maps, they look empty. Akeeba says they are empty. But if I check the CPanel of my client, I can see that the thumbnails maps are secured against reading. Can this be a host problem? Strange enough are all other maps readable, except for the thumbnails maps and therefore I can't make an Akeeba backup.

Re: After upgrade thumbnails problem.
Hi Judith,
I hope this helps and kind regards,
Benno
1. This is not possible, because I can see your thumbs in my browser. e.g. http://www.astridschute-natuurfotografi ... mb_l_4.jpgIf I check the ftp maps, they look empty.
2. This is not possible too, because of 1.But if I check the CPanel of my client, I can see that the thumbnails maps are secured against reading.
Perhaps... You should check ownership and permissions of your files and folders. Thumbs=644, Folders=755Can this be a host problem?
I hope this helps and kind regards,
Benno

Re: After upgrade thumbnails problem.
Thanks, I checked the host and yes, it is a permission problem. The maps cannot be read. (which is strange, I know, as the thumbs are visible in the frontend.)
With this host it is impossible to chmod myself via ftp, so they gave me a little script to chmod all thumbs maps. They tried one and it worked.
Thanks for your reply!
