It is fixed in 1.5.7... Please download 1.5.7 and install it:

- upgrade
- then you must correct all menu links if you are using SEF (method upgrade doesn't work correctly in Joomla!1.5 yet, so if you are using SEF, SEF link will be invalid). Just go to menu link and click on save. The menu links will be repaired.
- you can install the Theme. After installing Theme, the pagination should work without changes...

i tried to upgrade from 1.5.6 but not working
then i tried to clean install 1.5.7 but still not working hmmm

You must save the menu link after upgrading. If you install new Phoca Gallery and create a menu link, the pagination should work...

Uppss! After some changes disappear. I was changed settings back without change on diapering pagination. Trying with other browser and it the same.
