How do i use the finder plugin?

I'm creating a gallery for all family photo's and want to be able to search images using the tags.

Hi Pascal,
I am not familiar with "PR on github" to recreate plugin calls.
Is what a plugin is finalized and usable ?
Or is the PR to do the same thing while waiting for the plugin ?
