Jan,

I, for one, would be more than happy to do without answers from you for a while in the forum so that you could devote your freetime to finishing out the frontend upload feature in Phoca Download. It is the best download component I have tried, with the exception that users cannot yet upload anything themselves. Once that is done, this will be, in my opinion, the best download system out there. You've done a great job so far!

there s a front end upload? in phoca download? :o Where ? I need it badly . For sure if you have a frontend upload on it, you ll kick out of the game any other dl component. I just need to upload files, no category creation. Is there a way?

Jan,

I see how to do this for Phoca Gallery and use it, but I am not seeing how to use this or set this up for Phoca Download. I would like users to be able to upload to any gallery I create. Are you saying this is already possible? The documentation you refer to works for Gallery, but I don't see the same options in Download.

Thanks!

Hi, sorry for misunderstanding, I was speaking about Phoca Gallery :( (I overlooked the topic name). For Phoca Download this is planned. :(

Hopefully, the new beta will correct this problem.

Please note:
Beta version shouldn't be used on production sites, it should be used on test servers only.

codejunkie,

I am excited to see this is available. I have installed it on my test system and setup the parameters, but once I go back into the site as a regular user, I'm not seeing where a user can start the upload process. What have I missed to make that available?

Thanks!

I have not had time to install and look at this release, yet. Have you looked to see if there is an option to add a menu item to enable this?

Yes. That did the trick. I am unable, however, to select a Section or a Category to upload to. It only shows "-Select Section-" and "-Select Category-". I have looked over the parameters a few times again to see if I missed something there, but don't see what I need to enable for that. Any ideas?

Except for not yet being able to select the category, it looks like it's just what I've needed.

As this is still a BETA release, report your problems so it can get fixed. Providing as much information as you can and your thoughts on a solution is helpful.
