Problems with categories view

Meanwhile, I've modified the code this way:
- default.css -> class pg-csv-name -> added float:left; (and modified margin-top to 35px;)
- /components/com_phocagallery/views/categories/view.html.php -> commented out the height of pg-csv-box class
- /components/com_phocagallery/views/tmpl/default_categories.php -> a new div added (with float:left and min-width:200px), containing both pg-csv-box and pg-csv-name (this last div has been moved to the end, after pg-csv-box)

Obviously this is only a temporary solution (and if you have a nicer solution, it will be appreciated).

Hi, Ok. Only small tip for this solution - Phoca Gallery 4 uses different CSS and you can upload or add your custom CSS, add these changes to your own css, so they will be not lost while updating. Even not nice solution can be improved to be nice in the future.

Hi Jan,

I'm having the same problem. I'm using Joomla 3.2.3 and PhocaGallery 4.1.0.

Under the new config settings for Categories View - Legacy Settings I have tried all of the different Displaying Styles available but it still does not look like the old Categories view with the pic on the left and the details on the right.

Any idea how I can fix this please?

Hi, did you test it with other template too Can you paste a screenshot of old site and new site to compare what the categories view should look like (of course some minor changes because of new CSS techniques, etc. will be different to old techniques)

Oh, Thanks for your speedy reply but I didn't think to take a screenshot of how it looked before the upgrades but here is a one of how it is now:


It used to be one category per row in a nice big box with the image to the left and the category title, description and hit count on the right. Does this help? (sorry to be so vague!)

This is a screenshot from latest Phoca Gallery 4, in fact you can change the borders easily in CSS to get similar design like in Joomla! 1.5 Phoca Gallery.
