i just checked your guestbook demopage again: As i wrote before, the blank line shows up there also, here after the <div id="pathway"> but also just before javascript. (see Screenshot below) that "string" even seems to have an empty space in it... so it is a little bit different from the one at page i'm working on.
I will let you know, if i find out where it comes from... but i am not very good at programming
