Unable to Order Categories by Date

solution to properly sort photo categories via different sort orders is - simple!
Create only categories without parent categories and set in Options -> Display -> Display subcategories -> No.

That's it!

Indeed. But in this case I have to destroy all my subcats order and move all my galleries in the same single parent category.

I had the same problem about category date ordering and gladly found this post.
All to say that when u create a category the CREATED DATE is empty when it should be automatically filled with the current date.

Of course we can go to the box and fill the actual date, but it could be filled automatically and we could change to another date, this is only to avoid another "step" on the category creation.

hope u consider it on next upgrade.

PS: on gallery frontend u allow to create categories but no date is mentioned... however it records the date when was created on the database correctly.

Phoca Gallery 3.0.2 with J1.7

It's on the backend, press Categories and then NEW. You can see on the right side that the date field is empty.
