I had the same problem and debugged it to an unexpected php response in line 55 of add-images.

I solved this issue by simply turning off 'display errors' in my php.ini. Obviously this is not the optimal solution but for the time being it seems to work.

Hi, in newest RC version this is solved, PNGs are not taken to get EXIF code.
