Hi, tested on the site and get the error described here. But get a lot of different errors in Joomla! too.

E.g. going to article list and clicking on article title to edit it I get 500 error - so seems something is wrong with the Joomla!

If it is possible I will recommend to install Joomla! 1.7 from scratch.

Anyway the problem with saving the images can be related to geo functions, I will try to do some changes and will release 3.0.2, maybe it will help.

Ok, finally I have found the problem,

Fatal error: Call to undefined function exif_read_data()

So I will add some protection against this error for 3.0.2.

No problem for testing on my server, you're welcome.
Everything is working fine now.
One remark for the other J1.7 users. You get the 500 errors when you forget to adjust the permissions of specific directories.
Go to Site/system information/Directory permissions/. Then change permissions (757 worked for me) with CHMOD.
That was the solution for me. From that moment on the 500 errors were gone.
