Add image problem

I've noticed this problem as of late, don't know what caused it.
When I try to add an image to a gallery I go to 'New' and then try to navigate via the flash uploader to the folder where I already have the image, to select it.
The problem is, I can click 1 directory and it takes me inside but after that if I click a sub folder it brings me back to the root.
So for example if I have directories
Cars
Boats
- I click Cars and inside I have
car.jpg
Ferrari (folder)
Porsche (folder)
- I then click on the folder Ferrari and it takes me to
Cars
Boats

If I click car.jpg I can select it.

If I use boats instead of cars the same happens, so I'm guessing what it's doing is, it won't let me go any further than 1 level of sub directories.

Any idea what might be causing this?

HI, I am testing it know and everithing is all right

try to see your Url, there should be string like this:

... folder=category/subcategory ....

I don't have any idea why you get this behaviour, maybe some file is missed ? (should not be the problem), maybe some problem with permission ( ??? ), maybe with ownership of files ( ??? ) see, if you can access this folder through e.g. media manager ...
