See your database, e.g. via phpMyAdmin, this errors occures when Phoca Download cannot access the database table, maybe this not exist, maybe it was not installed ...
See if there are tables for Phoca download ...e.g. jos_phocadownload ....

Hi,
I have a similar problem, but the sql tables are in the database and the directories are writable.
The error occurs when I want to save a new download.
The error message is: "Error Saving Phoca Download "
What can be the problem?
It would be fine if anyone could help me.
Thanks and greetings from germany,
DrummingBoy

The database settings are okay.
The joomla installation was copied, but simultaneous to the original joomla installation.
Now the phoca download component is defect (Version 1.0.1.).
We've updated to version 1.0.4, but there are database errors too.
The file permissions are correct too...
