categories from folder

can i show images from a folder i mean i just want to upload pictures in a folder in my site and then link to to category is that possible?

Hi, you need to "translate" folders and images to categories and its images, e.g. easily by multiple add function (there are many different information needed so the "translation" is needed).

Hi, then you need to go to admin and do it per Multiple Add. This what you described is great feature but it has limits, it can break your site or make your server done - becasue if the server should by every attempt to check if there is a new image and create new thumbnails in such case, and you have e.g. over 500 images, then this can happen. So sometimes some features cannot be implemented as they can have different problems

I have read the posts in this thread but im not sure i follow you.


I used the "multiple add" feature, but all that does is upload several pictures at once. How can i get it to upload several pictures into a category in one go?

I.e i set up a category. I use multiple add to get a load of pictures into that category. The category now shows up on the front end with all the pictures inside. This is how i need it to work.

At the moment i can upload several at once but i still have to go to Image > new to individually put each image into the correct folder. This would take too long with dozens of photos.

Hi, just do it in multiple add area, select the images, the categories and click on add - images will be thumbnails, folders categories and subfolders subcategories:
