Highslide image only works, Highslide regular ignored

When I select Highslide JS, I get the normal modal box instead. When selecting Highslide image only, the proper Highslide controls appear and the opacity setting is respected. I'd like to have Highslide + multibox and the ability to see the full image optionally.

Sorry, but I did not see anything specific to my problem. Regular Highslide JS does not work, multibox or not. The controls are of the modal box.

I have another site where I have Highslide (image only) and Display full image: Yes, but the image displayed is a "thumb_l", is this what it's supposed to do? I would think it showed the original.

see the difference between Modal Box, HighslideJS & Highslide JS(Image only):

Modal box and Highslide looks rather similar, because both are Iframe methods (as you can see in the link I postet you above), but are not the same.
HighslideJS (image only) use Image method.
Both methods have different behaviors.

The option:
Highslide JS Full Image=Yes
dispays the original image only with detail view Highslide JS (Image only)

Ok thanks, I finally understand it is because of the iframe that the opacity effect doesn't do anything. Pity, that we can't see the original and have commenting ability.
But I still don't understand why Highslide image only + full image for the other site doesn't show the original, but a l-size thumb.

Yes, that's weird. I checked it with joomla! v2.5.7 & Phoca Gallery v3.2.2 and receive the behavior I posted above..

The option:

Which versions do you use?

Joomla 2.5.7 and P.gallery 3.2.1. I remember the behavior was different, but then suddenly changed.
