Remove number of images

Dear forum,

I would like to remove the number of images behind the category names in the overview.
I found some hints in the forum, but in my default.php is no code like

if ($this->categories[$i]->numlinks > 0) {/*echo '<span class="small">('.$this->categories[$i]->numlinks.')</span>';

(source:)components/com_phocagallery/views/categories/tmpl/default.php

I installed the latest version of phoca gallery in Joomla.

Is there somebody who can help me with that?
