Hi,

I have configured Geotagging according to this page

But the problem I am facing is if any user upload a photo from front end, he doesn't has the feature to specify LAT and LONG for the image. Can this be done? How?

Hi,such feature needs to be customized or if the uploaded images does have such information in exif, it will be automatically coverted to coordinates.

Hi, really no idea which software can add exif information to the image, I am not expert on cameras, but I think gps coordinates are added automatically by camera.

Thanks. But can you add the Admin feature of adding Latitude and Longitude with "Set Coordinates" button in front end where user can upload a photo as well set it's coordinates. Also the fields must be mandatory. I have attached a screenshot of what I want actually.


Please let me know how much it will cost to add such features in my site.

Hi Jan,

I have a fresh joomla installation with Latest Phoca Gallery installed. I have uploaded an image with geo-data in it's exif info. But the Gallery still not display the Geotagging icon as well Exif info.

Hi, I get 404 error, tested now the uploading with EXIF without any problem, try to see if the EXIF data includes coordinates.

Hi Jan,

I have fixed the Exif data issue. Enabling Exif in PHP on my server fixed it. Now images with exif data setts coordinates automatically.

Now I have another question. Can I change the default Google map Balloon (red one) with a custom .PNG file ?

Hi, this can be set in Phoca Maps, but not in Phoca Gallery, such needs to be customized direcly in the Google Maps API javascript code
