I have following structure in my categories:
Pictures
+--Pictures 2012
+--Event 1
+--Event 2
+--Event 3
+--Pictures 2011
+--Event 1
+--Event 2
+--Event 3
Therefor I would like to create menu of type "List of Categories" that show only Categories below "Pictures 2012" or "Pictures 2011". But when creating a new menu item I can't find a way to point to a sub categorie.
Could you please provide me some help? Thanks in advance!

Re: List of Categories WITH SUBCATEGORIES
it seems that my question maybe was a little bit unclear. So I try to explain again.
I have created following Phoca categories:
Pictures
+--Pictures 2012
+--Event 1
+--Event 2
+--Event 3
+--Pictures 2011
+--Event 1
+--Event 2
+--Event 3
Now I want to create a Joomla menu item that shows only picture categories e.g. from 2011. But if I choose the Menu item type "List of Categories" it's not possible to choose a sub category. In my case it shows all pictures.
Any idea if this possible or how I could solve this?

Re: List of Categories WITH SUBCATEGORIES
Hi,
this is what I understand:
You want to create separate menu items for the categories "Pictures 2012", "Pictures 2011" and so on.
Each parent category containes subcategories. (Event 1, Event 2, Event 3, and so on).
If this is right, you should create the menu items "Pictures 2012", "Pictures 2011" as "Phoca Gallery List of Images (Category View)".
Then you should set: backend --> Components --> Phoca Gallery --> Phoca Gallery Control Panel --> Options --> Display --> Categories View Settings -->
Display Subcategories=No
Display Empty Categories=Yes
Save & Close
If you don't like the "Categories Views Back Button" set:
backend --> Components --> Phoca Gallery --> Phoca Gallery Control Panel --> Options --> Category View Settings -->
Display Categories Views Back Button=No
Save & Close
If you now click the fresh created menu items, you will see the subcategories "Event 1", "Event 2", "Event 3" and when you click at one of this subcategories, you will see the images in this subcategory.
Hope this is what you mean.
Kind regards,
Benno
