This is my first deep contact with Phoca Gallery. It is an amazing and powerfull tool.
Preambule:
I have about 10 thousands photos in several hundred folders.
I have my own (QNAP) server at home: I did not use and not tried the Multiple Upload function but the terminal console to copy the JPG files onto /joomla/images/phocagallery/ and I applied on them the appropriate chown command to unable access. Well, in this case, it is very fast copy.
I used the Multiple Add function to generate in one clic category, subcategories, thumbnails, ... Wouh, I love this automatic option
avoiding me a too huge work I never want to do.Each picture has a complete file name and EXIF data set.
Problem:
The Multiple Add function asks for a Title field: the name I entered here was used to title my ten thousand pictures
.Questions:
1) Is it possible to use some EXIF parameter in the Title field, something like this:
%FILE.FileName%
to have the original picture name as title?
2) Could we have a check box in the Phocagallery parameters, say in the Detail View Settings section, this option:
Display EXIF FILE.Filename value instead of title value ?
3) Other idea ?
