Dollar sign issue.

I have installed the 2.8.1 on Joomla 1.5.25.
The gallery is something like a product showcase for the text under gallery I entered the Cost of each product that has Dollar Sign which is fine, when user click on a product to view it in the popup the dollar sign get disappeared and the first 2 or 3 digits of the price until it gets to the .00

For example if the cost of a product is $150.00 in the popup it shows .00

I had to take the Dollar sign of in order it to show the prices.

I dont know. It is just very annoying. Is there any kind of ASCII code for Dollar Sign?

add a backslash (\) just before the dollar sign

ie: \$80
