no reCaptcha in guestbook 1.5.3 (Joomla 1.5.23)

Hello Phoca-Team,

I try for days now, to get a reCaptcha-Code for my guestbook, but there just appears the standard math captcha which is built-in.

I searched in this forum and tried several solutions:

1. deactivating SEF and / or SEO -> no effect
2. switching between JRoute and JHtml -> no effect

What could it be? Please help me!!!
Have you some other ideas?

Another question is: Can I use the TinyMCE Editor instead of the built-in editor for writing guestbook entries?

Could anyone tell (again) the usefull order to test it with parameters like SEO and the methods jroute / jhtml ?

I just have edited the parameters in the component itself as global settings, nothing is set in the menu point. I set reCaptcha with the two codes and jhtml as the security method, but there just appears the standard captcha.

So my question again, what am I doing wrong?

Hi, used editor is Tinymce, to use other, this needs to be customized.

Did you set the parameters in parameter component in menu link to guestbook:

I edited my settings in the component menu, not in the menu link. In the menu link everything is set to "global configuration".
Because I just have one guestbook.

But I have on the same webspace another joomla installation:

Official version: 1.5.23 with guestbook 1.5.3

Test version: 2.5.1 with the newest phoca guestbook version - but here reCaptcha works! On the site where I generate these keys I said it should be a global key. Could there be something wrong?
How I understand it, I should say there "use as global key" and write "http://nochern.square7.ch".

Hi, mostly there is only one reason, the settings in menu link to guestbook include the standard captcha, not recaptcha - I have no other idea why Joomla! will not accept the settings

So disable SEF and check the Itemid - Itemid is id of menu link, then go to menu link with this ID and recheck if really recaptcha is set.
