The article about SEF and the necessary menu entry only gives the hint "In this menu group you will create menu link to Phoca Gallery component - e.g. to Categories View." – This could be clearer. And perhaps the article should also mention that the "hidden" menu link should have the same title and alias as the original link – otherwise you will end up with a strange looking entry in the breadcrumbs

It basically works now. One thing is strange: the new "hidden" menu links seems to influence the configuration of the original link. After adding the hidden link, I now have a "Kategorienliste" (= "categories list") back-link on the root level of the gallery (regardless of whether I use the "original" menu link or the random image module to access the gallery):

This link is completely useless, as this is already the root level of the gallery. If I click the link, I consequently end up on the same page. Changing the component parameters of the hidden link (e.g. "Show back button", "Show back button in categories view") didn't change anything. But when I removed the hidden link again, this "Kategorienliste" link also was gone again.
How do I get rid of this link?
