Installation on Joomla 1.7

I have some issues to install Phoca Gallery Component on Joomla 1.7.
In particular using zip file I can't install at all, while unzipping the file in tmp directory and using it as installation path, I manage to install it... BUT Phoca Gallery doesn0t appears in components menu and after the installation process it said it can't find setup.xml file..



So, how to install it?
