Hello.
I have Joomla 1.7.3 with 3.1.1 Gallery.
I have uploaded 2 folders to the host (GoDaddy) with few photos in each.
I did a multiple add selecting both folders and clicked save (just like it says in the documentation).
Everything went smooth, no errors, and thumbnails creation showed OK all the way.
I created a menu item for 1 of the categories using a category view.
The other category is displayed with the Noob module.
When I go the the gallery menu item I can see the thumbnails but, when I click any I get a 404 not found error (inside the type of detailed display selected).
The Slideshow Noob works perfect, even when I change its category to the other one (the one that doesn't work in the gallery).
Something strange - I changed the category of the menu item to the other one. Now, when I click a thumbnail the detailed view shows me pages from the other menus.

The gallery is the second from right (תמונות)
Does anyone know what the problem is and more important, how to solve it?
Couldn't find any solution...
Thanks a lot and marry Christmas (and happy Chanuka as well),
Uri.

Re: Gallery component issue
Hi,
If you don't want to show it in frontend, you can hide it.
Kind regards and marry Christmas,
Benno
You should create a menu item "Phoca Gallery List of Categories (Categories View)"Does anyone know what the problem is and more important, how to solve it?

Thanks for the quick reply!

If I click a thumbnail I get an error message instead of the photo.
I have created a categories menu item as you suggested but it does not solve the problem.
Now when I go to the categories menu item (it is the most left in the top menu) I see the 2 categories I have and when I click a category thumbnail, I get the same error.

Re: Gallery component issue
I have reinstalled the website (joomla 1.7.3) and installed and tested all the gallery stuff I could find here (component, modules and plugins). All of them cause the same problem besides for the Noob that can show all the categories that I have (2 categories).
I have removed everything from the site and left only the photos page.
The small thumbnails are from the Phoca Gallery Image and the bigger ones are from the menu item of the gallery component (List of Images (Category View)).
After removing all the menus he error message has changed and I see a broken image icon.
the url of the broken image is:
http://new.hamirpeset.info/2-zimmerphot ... mb_l_1.jpg
while if I want to open the photo the url is:
http://new.hamirpeset.info/images/phoca ... mb_l_1.jpg
I'm not sure it says anything but maybe it does.
You can look again at new.hamirpeset.info and see the gallery.
I would really like Phoca Gallery to show photos (other works, but I like Phoca's stuff a lot).
Thanks for your time,
and marry Christmas again,
Uri.

Re: Gallery component issue
Hi,
once again, I can't find any menu item to Phoca Gallery Component "Phoca Gallery List of Categories (Categories View)" on your site.
This item is very important to get valid item ID's...
Kind regards,
Benno

Re: Gallery component issue
Sorry...
Before the re-installation I did add it.
So now I have it again, I did a recreate to all photos in the 2 categories but I do not know what is wrong.
I did everything as it says in the documentation, I added the categories menu item as you said but something is wrong.
Is it depending on other modules/settings of the website, or should it work on a "blank" website with a fresh Joomla and nothing more (beside the photos and menus of course).
Thanks again,
Uri.

Hi,
you got a PM
Kind regards,
Benno
Edit:
Solved! The issue was caused by SEO settings.
