500 Error in Categories
When in the backend and selecting CATEGORIES I get this error. No top menu template is set either... just the Categories show up. Anyone have a clue about this?

same thing happens when in the Administrator backend and you select COMPONENT->PHOCA GALLERY->IMAGES

updated to Joomla 1.7 did the trick. Works good now!

Similar situation. This error occurred while creating kompanenta and images. use Joomla! 1.6.6 с Phoca Gallery Компонент 3.1.1
