Phoca gallery Slideshow not displaying

Hello everybody, new here. So I've read the forum rules and tried various search terms but couldn't find any help. I haven't tried installing the module on a standard template because the template I'm using (FrameLab from LineLab.org) is made for it. So I am sure of the following:

1. I've installed: Phoca Gallery component, Phoca Gallery Nivo slideshow module.
2. I've set the size for large thumbnails: 970*230 in the gallery component under basic options.
3. I've created a specific category for the slideshow images (named it Foto_banner) and uploaded the images.
4. I've set the Phoca Gallery category ID (Foto_banner) in the Nivo module managment. Set the position to 12, status published and assigned the module to all pages.
5. I've enabled the slideshow in template parameters.

Made all this but the slideshow simply doesn't appear, even if the space for it is there. I'm running all this on ubuntu Linux, tried several browsers but with no result.

Any help or suggestions would be really appreciated. Thanks anyway, bye..

include the 12 position for the slideshow in Framelab

I have tested it now by this guide and working ok for me, try to recheck all the steps you have done with the guide. Maybe still something is missing ... really no other clever advice

Thanks for the reply Jan, I really appreciate it. I can't seem to get one thing thought: if all the displaying is done by Phoca Gallery plus the Nivo module, why is there an option for slideshow (and slideshow pictures folder) in the template setting menu?

Hi, you can enable a slideshow module (set in template settings) or to display only image instead - the folder is here to select an image from your server.

Thanks for the reply. Infact I settled for a static image for now. In the future however I would like to try the slideshow.
