From installing Phoca Gallery 2.5.7-com and the new 2.8.0 (I still work with joomla 1.5) I always got this message:

Warning: mysql_num_rows (): supp song argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in / home / ... ... ... ... / domains / ... ... ... ... .. / public_html / libraries / joomla / database / database / mysql.php on line 344

And if I wanted to create a category:
"Warning: Invalid argument supp song for foreach () in on line 126 "

Even when installing com-phocaguestbookv1.4.4. I received the following message:

What should I do to continue to please.

you should check datebase tables..
