Moving Phoca Galleries from J1.5 to J1.6/J1.7

I could not find any information in the documentation and the forum on how to move galleries from J1.5 to J1.6.

I fould something in the documentation about moving the pictures and the thumbs and let Phoca Gallery create the galleries, but that would not help me with my links I used in artices and menus.

So is there any automatic way or do I have to manually update my links to the galleries?
