Download Button Plugin - no link

When I use the Download Button Plugin in a article the editor places a link in the text like:
{phocadownload view=file|id=1|target=b}

When the article is saved and published the frontpage also shows {phocadownload view=file|id=1|target=b} and no link or button.

What do I have to do to get it to work?

Do you have installed the PD Plugin? Have you enabled it?
