Question about categories and subcategories

is het possible to get a menu item to list only the categories and not the subcategories. I have the following contents:

category 1
subcat. 1a
subcat. 1b
subcat. 1c

category 2
subcat. 2a
subcat. 2b

In my main menu i got a 'Phoca Gallery Category List Layout'. When i click this item i want a page with only two items; category 1 and category 2. And when i click then on category 1 i want a page with subcat. 1a , 1b and 1c.
I think this should be very simple but i can not get to work. posting.php?mode=post&f=1#
Hope someone knows a solution....

backend --> Components --> Phoca Gallery --> Phoca Gallery Control Panel --> Parameters --> Categories View Settings (List of Categories) -->
Display Subcategories=No
Display Empty Categories=Yes
Save your settings!

Hi Benno,

That did the trick. I was trying this in the advanced parameters of the category and that wasn't working. Now i can try to get an image at the subcat. page with each subcat and try to make it look good in my website...
